Or something.

TV Guide: You don't like to talk about your life, but you're single, right?
Ackles: I'm not married. [Laughs] I've been dating somebody for about a year. She's an actress.

TV Guide: Who is it then?
Ackles: [Laughs] I don't know if I should tell you. She's an upcoming actress. She's not known. She's good people. She comes from a very similar home. Louisiana. We've got that in common. It works well.

Uhm. Things.

She's not known.
--Isn't that just a tad bit insulting? Just a little? I mean as much as I and others love Jensen he's not exactly a big shot Hollywood actor.

She comes from a very similar home. Louisiana. We've got that in common.
--Uhm. What? He grew up in a southern state. She grew up in a southern state. And uh, that's their connection? That's the thing he chooses to say is what they have in common? I'm afraid I'm not feeling the love.

Also, with his "similar home" bit, isn't that how he describes his and Jared's relationship? Only when it's about Jared he doesn't (IMO) come off sounding like a jerk.

In conclusion.

Jensen wants to date Jared. But we already knew that.

The more I hear about his love life (and it's not much) the more it seems like he and Wentworth Miller have in common. Like in a few years when Jensen's a teeny bit more established there will suddenly be more media questions about why he doesn't date much and he'll be using generic terms like "I've been with this person for a long time" and then he'll be spotted and photographed hanging around town with Jared and rumors will really start to fly about the two of them being an item.

Because he's speaking here like she's a blind date or something. "It works well!" "We have stuff in common... we're both from the South!" Though I find "she's good people" kind of adorable for some reason.

I'm looking forward to those days though I do hope they come sooner rather than later.

I too like the "good people" phrase.

The "good people" thing is cute, but seems to me like something he'd say about a guy friend, not a girl he's dating. (Or, you know, "dating.") And I get that he's shy, but that really doesn't explain describing a relationship like it's a business deal. He's more than happy to gush about Jared at a moment's notice. People who love other people DO that, it's just instinct. I'm sure that this whole thing is important to his agent/PR/whatever people, future career and all that, but it just seems so labored. I look forward to those days (sooner rather than later) too.

Why are you anonymous? *pokes*

And I agree. "It works well." sounds like an arrangement not a relationship.Ugh.

Though I was thinking about this earlier and thought that maybe it's Danneel who doesn't want people to know about them. I don't know why it'd be that way but hey, people are odd.
