--Isn't that just a tad bit insulting? Just a little? I mean as much as I and others love Jensen he's not exactly a big shot Hollywood actor.

--Uhm. What? He grew up in a southern state. She grew up in a southern state. And uh, that's their connection? That's the thing he chooses to say is what they have in common? I'm afraid I'm not feeling the love.

Also, with his "similar home" bit, isn't that how he describes his and Jared's relationship? Only when it's about Jared he doesn't (IMO) come off sounding like a jerk.

In conclusion.

Jensen wants to date Jared. But we already knew that.

Didn't someone in another interview also ask Jared if he was married and he just shrugged it off with a "I still check the 'single' box on my tax return but I've been dating this girl for a few years now.."? Jensen's excuse quote sounded much more awkward. =D
