my hands are so dry. stupid winter!

other than moisturizer does anyone have any tips on how to not have dry skin?

Ummm that's a tough one :\ I know :( I totally have the same issue. But I guess the best lotion that I've found that works is either eucerin intensive repair for hands or Caudalie Hand and nail cream (one inexpensive one absolutely NOT) :p

But... if you wash you hands A LOT then that will dry them out, too. Drink lots of water cause that keeps you hydrated. Don't use antibacterial gel cause that will dry them out, too.

But I guess that's all I've got. My hands will never not be dry cause of the chemicals I use with animals.

coat in vaseline and wear a pair of old gloves. same for feet and socks if they're dry/cracked too

Make sure you completely dry your hands after washing them. That's all I got.

When you shower/bathe, use warm water instead of hot. That one can be hard for me because I love hot showers during winter, but it will make such a difference. You can also try warm baking soda baths. Helps with the itching and you can scrub off a lot of the dry skin with baking soda. Then lotion up after.
