I really and I mean really like Sam Winchester.

Another thing I liked about this episode was that Meg called him Castiel. At least a few times.

Dean wasn't hard enough on Castiel. Hell, he wasn't hard on Castiel at all. Castiel was more hard on himself and that bothered me a lot.

I'm glad that Castiel apologized to Sam. I'm glad that he's now feeling Sam's pain. Well, I hope he's feeling Sam's pain.

But. I will always hate Castiel and any pain he's feeling now is not nearly enough for my liking.

The trenchcoat scene was hilarious. Okay, the after part was. Like, why would you put on a mouldy (I'm assuming it's mouldy) and bloody and probably foul smelling jacket?

Uhm. I don't have the FUCK YOU RAGE that I was expecting to have and I'm glad for that. But. I have a feeling it's still coming.

I really, really enjoyed tonights ep. The only distraction for me was Meg. I'm not anti-Meg but something happened to Rachel Miner's face. It was really round and puffy and it kept distracting me. She still looked skinny as a rail but her face was so freakin puffy.

Got off track for a second there but such a great episode! Emo Sam is so emo. I wanted to pet him as he slept on my bosom....ahem, I mean, he's cool and all. I love that he helped someone in the hospital even when he was completely losing his shit.

'Emanuel' (sp?) was spiffy. I like the convo with Dean in the car. I know you are a hater but I love me some Castiel! Dean reaching out to all of Bobby's contacts was so sad. The return caller was a nice hunter who I wouldn't hate to see again. I always like when they have a connection to other hunters. Poor Dean flat out said that they didn't have any friends. :(

Not sure what to think of Meg the nurse. And did Cas take Sam's memories? His pain? His hallucination? Did he just pull out the bad shit that was poisoning Sam's brain? I'm a little unclear. Mark/Lucifer's "Hello little brother" was so evil! Some people thought it was too much but I loved the show Lucifer was putting on.

So again, just to be clear, you like Sam Winchester?

THANK GOD, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THIS. From my own review: is it just me or did Rachel Miner get really chubby in her face since she was on the show last? Her body didn't look any different but her face was, wow, so noticeably ROUND. So much so, it distracted me for the majority of the time she was on the screen.

Heh, also something I commented on in my review: Hell, Sam's so bad-ass, even when he's certifiably insane, he still manages to bust a ghost and save a life. I don't see Dean saving lives while he's drunk. Unless it's because he chooses not to drive ...

I think - and who knows if I'm anywhere near right, what with the cracked out logic of this writing staff - he just pulled the damage done to Sam's mind created by the wall by removing it from Sam's head. Somehow, he knew how to find the source and yanked it out from the root, angel-lobotomy style. No matter how he did it, it's a bit bullshit that's how they finally dealt with Sam's broken brain. One ep to really get into the pain and agony he's been suffering since the beginning of the season then, poof!, magically removed by magical angel ... magic.

And you know they're going to find a way to insta-heal Castiel before the end of the season. The only way they can really have Castiel truly pay for what he did to Sam, is for him to die because of the crazy in his own mind now. I'm still kinda baffled how mental damage to a fragile human mind can affect a big bad angel just as terribly. I mean, aren't angels supposed to have tougher skin than us, so to speak? IDK. As long as Castiuseless is dead by season's end, never to return and annoy me again, I CAN LIVE WITH THIS SHIT.

Someone else pointed out that Sam managed to mostly hold it together when he was being mind-fucked by Lucifer but Castiel lost it the second he had Lucifer torturing him. Basically. Sam's a lot stronger.

But yes. As long as Castiel is gone by season's end to never ever ever return. That's okay.

I really like Sam, too.

I want the 'YOU HURT MY BROTHER AND I'LL KILL YOU - I'LL KILL YOU ALL!' Dean back. He wasn't in this and if having Sam almost die with the hallucinations that Castiel brought down on Sam, I don't think nothing will bring that Dean back.

I wonder how much Castiel is going through that Sam had gone through. No matter how much, IMO, it won't be enough.

I didn't really see Dean give the trenchcoat to Castiel but I did see him wearing it. So, I can only imagine how cheesy that scene was.

Irked over the stupid trenchcoat and the way in which it was used to persuade Cas to help Sam. I can't believe he was just going to leave until Dean begged. I've hit my maximum tolerance with the Castiel character. There's more but I'm simply over him for many reasons. And irked over the fumbled treatment of Sam's storyline. And the director for not demanding more from Jared in his fairly intense scenes ~ I think the guy can act but I didn't see the effort I expected in thes beginning scenes. Sorry I don't make much sense.

There is almost certainly going to be a season eight. The show brings the ratings to the CW. Given only SPN and The Vampire Diaries can do that, those shows will air until the wheels fall of ... and they burn out the tire rims on the concrete.
