So, that happened.

I ... You know, it started so good. Sam as Lucifer when he was alone was amazing and so very well done and I had a six foot erection with a giant cheeseburger on the end of it.

And then it went down hill. Fast.

I've been waiting so long for Sam to say yes and then punch Dean in the face. And that happened but it could've been so so much more epic. I'm torn between loving and loathing that they totally and completely stole the Yellow Crayon Moment from Buffy. I think I would've enjoyed it more if it hadn't been used when it was used.

And then there's the part with Adam. I don't give a flying fuck about him at all and I don't think Jake/Adam is attractive at all on Supernatural (he was all right in that Percy Jackson movie)

I don't know what was wrong with Jared during that scene but what the hell happened? Cos, a few minutes ago he'd been brilliant but then he's doing his impression of William Shatner and David Caruso and it was complete shit.

There was a moment when Samifer had the exact same expression on his face that Sam did when he was 'mocking' David Caruso in whatever the hell ep it was and I don't think any mocking was meant to be going on during any of that scene and seriously, that totally threw me out of the game.

I do need to download the ep cos I had my head turned when Castiel got all blowed up and that might warm my cockles up.

And then there's the whole Lisa thing. Yeah, I care about her less than I care about Adam. I don't ... I can't buy that Dean would just straight up go and live the cookie cutter white picket fence lie without spending at least a week drunk, depressed and puking on slutty girl's shoes while he fucked them in an alley.

Also. ALSO. Why does Lisa like Dean? Why does she care? No, seriously. I mean other than he fucked her good. And also more than he was nice to Ben and helped save them all that one time. There is more to them then that, right? What do they know about each other? Please explain to me why I should care at all about them as a couple.

And here's my guessing for next season.

That was Sam at the end there and he saw how 'happy' Dean was and turned around and walked away.

Dean freaks out. Thinks Lucifer is out of his cage.
Sam tells him to calm down. Tells Dean that it's him.
Dean asks how long.
Sam tells him a couple months.
Dean punches Sam in the face.
Sam smiles sadly. Says, 'You were happy.'
Dean glares. 'I was never happy.'
Sam laughs a little. 'You don't have to lie, Dean.'
Dean calls him an idiot. 'I was surviving because I made a promise to you.'

And then I don't know what would happen after that.

Had the writers put in mentions of Lisa in season four - or hell, had Lisa appear at some point in season four - and had some kind of developing subplot going on with Dean and Lisa, then MAYBE I can buy the "go to Lisa and have a normal life" thing that got randomly tossed in.

I will never understand or believe the Lisa thing, but I loved the rest.
I do think were getting that, coming season 6.
Whether is super!Sam or just emo!Sam (who wanted Dean to have a life [missing the whole home-point God/Kripke/Chuck was talking about when mentioning the Impala]) and alcoholic!Dean or picket-fence!Dean, it'll be like a reboot reversal of season one.
And hopefully they'll manage it slightly better this time.

I hate to say it but the in-episode Sam inconsistency just makes me think of how this whole season it's really felt like some days Jared "showed up to work" and some days...not so much.

I think what bothers me the most (and always has) about the Lisa thing is that while there's plenty of stuff this series has dedicated way too much time to, they've also not really bothered putting any effort into making Lisa important/memorable/integral to the plot/someone the audience should care about. I mean, I don't really hate her character or anything but the problem is I don't really give two shits about her, either. She's just kinda shoehorned in there.

But man, you are right. Some of that Sam-as-Lucifer stuff was just...unf.
