I am buying my kids a DS Lite soon for the trip to Hawaii, so we've done a lot of research between that an the DSi. The DSi has a camera, which you might need to have for certain games. It seems like a great thing, but I've honestly never heard of an adult using one so I don't know...? Aren't most of the games for kids?

Oh, I hadn't thought about that. Maybe? Is there an adult version of such a thing out there? I mostly like the idea of a small portable internet.

I never thought about using the DSi for internet access only. The screen is small for internet use (3" x 2.5"). If that's all you're buying it for, you might look for something a little bigger...? Or something like an internet tablet?
