Very interesting that Jimmy's still alive. Makes me hate the ep where Dean took Castiel out to get laid even more now. Be kinda nice sometimes if I could rememember the names of episodes.

Famine says that Dean's all dead/empty on the inside. And yet at the end Dean's crying like he usually does. Which leads me to believe that either a) folks don't really know what empty and/or dead means or ... well, that's all I have really.

But seriously. If Dean were as empty as he was told? He wouldn't be crying and caring about shit. Was Dean told this and then Jensen directed to act that way at the end because of shitty writing or was Dean just told a bunch of shit to beat him down even more so that eventually he'll give in and say, "YES, GOD YES, MAKE ME YOUR VESSEL."

Because I'd imagine if he were all empty he'd be like Scary!Veiny!Willow with her, "This is nothing."

Oh and because it needs saying again ... HOTTEST OPENING EVER. In really real life? Shit like that would be disturbing and probably gross. But in fictional land? HELLO NURSE. I love shit like that.

Also, there was a line in this episode that made me shout 'BUFFY LINE' at the television and think of you and Momma and Daddy thought I was crazy.

Castiel was quite tolerable in this episode. I may even come so close as to saying I enjoyed him. idek.

I believe I'd call it "TEAM DESTINY." Which is what I'm on because UH HNNNNNGGGGGGG YES.

Mmm I did love them powers coming back and the bulging muscles and hotness, especially since it felt better this time, like it wasn't him being a drug addicted loser, but a guy fighting something he can't help and then actually able to say no when it counts because he's awesome.

And you know, that would be an interesting twist if they both said yes. Though Dean looks more likely to give in. All you'd have to do is have him watch an emotional Oprah and he'll sob out a 'yes' right away.

I think the various evil things on the show are just trying to emotionally beat Dean down as much as possible. I don't necessarily think it was a literal "dead inside, empty, blah blah" although if it was then, yeah, lamesauce.

Team say yes!? Do you want me to cry? :/ But that was entire crap about not having a soul. I know that in a person there is a soul, a spirit, and a mind... but still, how can he be lacking that? He LOVES Sam, and yeah, he's broken, but he feels enough for everyone, it can't be true. Why does he wake up each morning he wonders. Well maybe because he's a hero? Maybe because he has his brother to fight for. *deep breath*

When Famine said Dean was just 'going through the motions'? Yeah, I flashed back to the Buffy musical and for a minute there was a little SPN musical in my head. :p

Also, I no longer haz an evil!Sam icon, but I feel the need for one again. CLearly, I need an icon from this episode, with the blood all over his face.

Two things: When Famine told Dean that whole "you're dead inside"? I actually started singing Buffy's 'Once More With Feeling' greatest hits. I literally had to pause the episode to get it of my chest.

And secondly: I hate the whole Sam is a junkie blah, but the "Wait your turn" gave me happy chills. That kind of awesome wrong joyous feeling, like in Born Under a Bad Sign. You know it's bad, but it's so Bad-Ass it's just awesome.

Do you think they'll ever explore Sam's powers without falling back in the junkie-rut? I mean, Ruby did tell Sam he hadn't needed the blood at all and clean!Sam was the one that smelled? heard the heartbeat? of the demon in the first place, when he first crossed paths with the briefcase dude, so...
