What do you like? Do you find it helpful? Does it slow down your browser at all? Details please.

my favs are:
lj login- its handy if you have more then one lj account
lj hook- helps you pick icons for your comments :p
youtube to mp3- allows yopu to download any you tube video as mp3
download helper-similar to above but more formats and sites
twitter fox- for twitter :)

none of these slow anything down imo :)

Adding to what [livejournal.com profile] bobbinrob has mentioned:

Download them all very good download managers.
foxclocks so you know what time it is overseas.
Lazarus which saves forms for you so when your browser or internet crashes and you lose that post you spent an hour on, you can recover it.
personas to make it all pretty! :)

And to add to [livejournal.com profile] bobbinrob and [livejournal.com profile] annella's comments

Gmail manager, which is awesome if you have more than 1 gmail account!

I love the add ons; they make my life so much easier!

greasemonkey customizes the way various webpages display using scipts
oldbar gets rid of the awesom bar, if you are of the camp that finds it highly irritating and ineffective
download statusbar redirects downloads to a bar at the bottom of your browser rather than the pop-up window
screengrab saves webpages as images, either as a file or to the clipboard, with options for capturing the entire page, the visible portion of the screen, a selection of the screen, or the window
tineye search for images via right-click menu in broswer (opens in new tab so you don't have to interrupt browsing on current page)
adblock plus invaluable blocker of ads and banners that slow down loading times

i don't find that any of these add ons slow my browser down, personally.

Hrm, I use Adblock Plus, a gmail add on, Downloadhelper, ColourfulTabs and a few others, but those are my favs. I havn't noticed them slowing down my browser at all.

I have most of these mentioned and text/plain. It takes anything that is a link and opens it regardless of if it's in link format or not.

Agreeing with [livejournal.com profile] crooked, oldbar and adblock plus are essential.

I'm also fond of:
NoSquint (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592) - lets you permanently customize font size.
Tab Mix Plus () - various browsing perks including opening every link in a new tab, which is something I CANNOT live without.
Flashblock (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433) - keeps flash images, animations and vids from automatically playing. I LOVE THIS. It keeps YouTube vids from just starting as soon as you open this page.

This post is FTW. Thank you to everyone for the suggestions!

I agree with LJ Hook, LJ Login and Greasemonkey. That thing is srsly a lifesaver for MASSIVE pictures people post on my f-list outside a cut. Or even inside a cut, haha.

I don't use a lot of ad-ons, but the ones I have are irreplaceable:

Adblock Plus (can't live without it)
Greasemonkey
Collorzilla
LJHook
Stylish

and 3 Language dictionaries

They don't slow down my browser at all.

I don't use a lot of add ons anymore, but LJ login is amazing. I do think it might be to blame for the fact that my journal is now fluent in Swenglish, but since I have more than one journal it comes in very handy.

I concur with adblock plus, because when I was watching old Star Trek episodes on youtube, I didn't have to watch those fucking commercials that would DEAFEN ME whenever they came on. :(
