Lost || CSI:CSI || Grey's Anatomy || Supernatural: 3x13: Ghostfacers

Lost:
You'd think by now I'd know more people's names, but no.
I was kind of shocked when they killed Ben's daughter. I got a little bit weepy because he was upset about it.
Uhm, that's all I remember.

CSI:
I still enjoy the show, but it seems to be missing something. Or maybe it's just winding down because man, they've been around for a long time.

Grey's Anatomy:
Ehhh. I love Clea DuVall with the longer hair and it was nice seeing Cheech Martin. But none of the character's stories was all that interesting. McDreamy and Rose need to break up, I don't care if he gets back with Meredith or I don't think I care but McDreamy and Rose ... Just no.

McSteamy: I thought it was supposed to be me and you!
McDreamy: Having sex?!

Ahahahaha.

Supernatural: Ghostfacers

I laughed.

"Those assholes from Texas."
"Inside the duffle bag?"

I uh, I didn't cry ... I wasn't affected by Corbitt (bett's?) death.

And I liked the ep, I did. But just ... I think I would've liked it more if it had been more during the middle of the season. Dean's got two months left and they're playing Monster House or House on Haunted Hill if you prefer? No. And I don't care if Jared and Jensen are spoiled princesses who are tired - there should've been more of them.

[livejournal.com profile] deansam67 pointed out that she felt like she was seeing Jared and not Sam and I have to agree with her.

So yeah, I expected a lot more after such a long wait.

I couldn't agree with you more. About Supernatural, I mean. I was expecting it to be more about Dean's deal and/or the war. It was still a good episode, just. Not what I was expecting. :D

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
*nods* It should've been ... more.

[identity profile] quidditchkiss.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Lost: Penny is not allowed to die.
CSI: I'm really kind mad with this show right now, because Gary Dourdan(Warrick) got fired, and he's my favorite on the show. So, I'm just really mad with this show right now.
Supernatural: "Gay love can pierce through the veil of death and save the day." This episode was totally a hahaha at the fandom, and I kind of love Ben Edlund and Eric Kripke for that.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Woah, woah what? Like Gary is leaving the show because he's fired? But but ... no. He's my favourite too and also he's the prettiest and HE CANNOT LEAVE!

[identity profile] quidditchkiss.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
He's leaving because of "creative differences"? Yeah, I don't understand it at all, but you can read about it here for more information.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I might be all sad and slightly confused and worried about Dourdan's apparently violent ways.

[identity profile] quidditchkiss.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, right? :|

[identity profile] malevolent73.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree about SPN also. I thought it was good (after a slow start) but I wanted Dean & Sam onscreen for every second and was a little disappointed when they weren't.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
The last three eps better be non stop Winchester action.

[identity profile] annemiek81.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL about LOST! I was sad about Alex too, I didnt expect that but then again, maybe they didnt really have a storyline for her. I dont think Rousseau is dead..atleast I hope she isnt...
I was kinda confused by the whole Ben in Tunesia, Nadia, Sayid thing....and I dont want Ben to kill Penny! coz I love Desmond and Penny!

SPN just rocked! Travis (Harry) was amazing *g* and I seem to be the only one who adores him, is that bad?

Only one thing...lots of people saying they loved the impala drive by with the music blurting out. I didnt, it didnt fit coz its not what Sam and Dean would've done, they would've been quiet as heck trying to see what the house looked like....right

anyways *hugs*

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I was confused by the Ben and Sayid too, but then I don't pay a lot of attention to the details of the show because I find that when I do, my brain hurts. :p

I liked the Impala pulling up like that but I do agree with you that it was kind of ... wrong.

Yeah, but we knew going in it was gonna be weird. Both Sera and Kripke were both "this is not what we would choose to come back from hiatus with" but it is what it is.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't know that.

And if they were like that then why did they do that? Was it a network thing?

[identity profile] hellopoe.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
*butts in*

I think this was the script they had written before the strike happened, so when they came back, it just happened to be the next one ready to go. It was supposed to be a middle-of-the-season episode, but when the season order got chopped because of the strike, it became the 4th-from-the-end episode. I don't think they would have chosen to put it there, had they had the choice....if that makes sense? I could be wrong but I think it was all a result of the strike messing everything up.

Nope - you got it. When the strike was over the networks were OMG START SHOOTING ALREADY!!!! As it was, they only had - I think - less than a week of gear up and then they were expected to have a script ready to shoot the following Monday.

Ghostfacers was in the process of the final draft when the strike hit. So they took one last pass at it (obviously the bit about the writer's strike was added) and off they went.

Smidgy - I forgot - you're one of those weird spoiler phobes... Here's the Q&A from Sera:
FFN: What's it like getting back to work? Are people charged up? Is it a smooth process picking up where you left off?
SG: By three o'clock on the first afternoon, we were all half-joking that it felt like we never left. I was afraid it would be complete chaos, because we only had three weeks to get up and running before production resumed. But everyone came in focused and ready to make it work. It's actually gone much more smoothly than I anticipated. One funny thing that happened: the first script in the hopper was almost complete before we left work, and it's kind of hilarious in its new context.

It's a light, high-concept episode – shot entirely in documentary style by these bumbling would-be ghost hunters we introduced in Season One. The whole hour is the “pilot” of a cable show called “Ghostfacers!” So it's quite a departure from our usual structure. And it’s completely self-enclosed and breezes right past all the mythology we set up in “Jus In Bello”, which was great when we had lots of time before we had to close in on the end of that arc.

In fact, it was necessary breathing room for our audience before we pounded them with Dean's deal coming due. But being part of the final run of this shortened season, being the first episode when we come back, gives it a sort of importance that it's definitely not engineered for.* We all laugh about it -- it's just one of those out-of-our-control things that happened because of the strike, and we rolled with it. I think our audience will too -- they're savvy, and they'll get it. And it's a wildly entertaining episode, so for my part, I'm glad we get to do it. I would have been so sad if the strike went longer and it didn't get shot.

*emphasis mine.

[identity profile] hellopoe.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, thanks! I knew I'd read that somewhere!

[identity profile] sadcypress.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! This makes me feel SO much better, as I hadn't know any of this and couldn't understand why they chose to come back with this episode.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, thank you for that.

[identity profile] openmydoors.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I was so disappointed with SPN and the exclusion of the creepy little girl from this ep, I was so sure that they were going to address the war and stuff... Entertaining, but not that useful for the overall arc, y'know?

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
*nods* I know.

[identity profile] goonies-nsd.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank god I wasn't the only one who wasn't affected by Corbett's death. I even was like "WTF IS HE CRYING!!??! WHAT A WUSS!" I just didn't think it was the type of episode that you can laugh all the way through and then switch to emo. Not working for me.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, he seemed like a nice guy sure but meh, I didn't really get into his character or any of the new ones. They could've all died and I would've been meh. Not uh, Ed and Harry, I might've been a bit upset by their deaths. Maybe.

I cried because Jensen did... It's a Pavlovian thing by now...

[identity profile] angieb5.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I would've liked it more if it had been more during the middle of the season

I couldn't agree more. I'm seeing a lot of people say that it was good, but the wrong episode to come back from a hiatus and it wasn't in the right part of the season.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah huh.

[identity profile] laurondo.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I think we should've seen more of them. I know they work hard and I appreciate that SO MUCH, I really, really do, but they had, what... 2-3 months off because of the writer's strike? They should've been well rested and fine. Then again, this episode WAS filmed before the strike, so maybe that had nothing to do with it. Who knows?

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, good point. But still. There should've been more.

[identity profile] laurondo.livejournal.com 2008-04-25 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, lol. I just realized I said the episode was filmed before the strike. I meant the SCRIPT was already written before the strike, sorry. That'll teach me to do 2 or 3 things at once, eh?
