sometimes when I am out, I shout compliments at people inside my head. (the compliments are in my head - not the people)

examples:

THAT'S A GREAT SWEATER
YOUR HAIR IS FANTASTIC
HOLY CRAP YOU ARE REALLY ATTRACTIVE
THOSE PANTS LOOK GOOD ON YOU

I'm scared that one day, I'm going to accidentally do it out loud. and the person will look at me like, 'WTF?' and I'll just have to shrug and give them a look that says, 'oops, sorry. but it's okay. i am a professional crazy person.'

Cory randomly waves at people all the time. It's amusing.

I could never do it on purpose. I would cry and throw up from the embarrassment.

not very often, but he always gets so smug when they do.

I complement random strangers all the time. And wave to them and say hi. I am from a small town, and live in a smallish town now, but I did this all the time when I was in DT Seattle. SO.

when I'm at work, and there is a customer in front of me, I can and sometimes do say complimentary things to them, but if you're able to just walk by someone and compliment them on the fly, you are very good.

Haha, yeah, no, i can totally so it on the fly. I think it's actually easier, because there's no expectation that a convo start from it.

I applaud you

I compliment strangers all the time. It's great for you and you never know when you might make someone's day. I chased a guy down at the mall one day because he smelled so amazing I had to find out what he was wearing. I then bought it for my bf so I could smell it all the time1 Occasionally there is a creeper who thinks you are hitting on them but mostly people just appreciate it.

I don't think that I could shout a compliment at a stranger as I walked past them, but if you can? That is fantastic. Did the guy you chased down think that you were a bit odd?

I don't actually SHOUT compliments. lol But I do give them compliments all the time. It is not unusual for me to have random conversations with a stranger in Target for example. I'm just a talker.

The guy I chased down thought it was funny. I had my mom with me and I was dragging her along and she was embarrassed and trying to shush me and he was laughing at us bickering like little kids.

I have no filter so like, I say these types of things to people all the time. Sometimes its awkward but usually not, since I see the same 200ish people ever yweek.

yeah, I can't help myself, usually it's women and I tell them they are in the running for my best dressed award today, or I'm like, "this whole look, you are doing it so right". Those are my standby's. I'm like the fashion police. Self-deputized of course. LOL.

I've only once really said something outloud that was meant to be in my head. It was this scruffy guy walking out of target, think Jared Padalecki in his lounge pants after a rough night, and he was wearing this long grey wool coat. OMG HOT....and so I told him so, well, in the jacket, I said you looks so hot in THAT COAT. Does that make it better? Nah, probably not.

Aw, you are awesome. AND I WOULD SHOUT THAT AT YOU.

I do this too. Sometimes I do actually tell people. Only the tame stuff, like "Your handbag is great" but even then, people still look at you funny. Which is weird. That handbag IS REALLY GREAT so take the damn compliment.
