it's pretty damn pointless most of the time, isn't it?

how do you interact with people online? I mean. how do you get people to engage in conversation with you?


also, while taking a tumblr break. I'm still looking at it from time to time. casually and slowly unfollowing.

I used to talk to people online a lot more back when the internet was shiny and new. Still friends with people from early days of message boards and IMing.

The internet is so much bigger now and there are so many social media forums that it is much more difficult to make real connections. There are so many cartoons and 'like' buttons and other forms of checking in that real people interaction gets a little lost.

I'm old school, I call my friends when I want to talk. *shrugs*

oh, still friends with people too and such and I've never liked the phone. and yeah, there is the problem of the like buttons and such.

I guess I should just get used to people not wanting to talk to me is all.

I don't think that people don't want to talk to you. You are bright and witty and I love hearing what you have to say. :) I'll talk to you any time. Thought I'm probably boring as hell and not fun to talk to.

Oh, talking is fine and all. And I appreciate that. I more mean. Fandom flail. I miss people wanting to fandom with me. :)
