"go, go, go with a smile!"

I have not seen any of the Batman Trilogy movies but I might be going to see TDR on Saturday. I've heard it's good. Really good. I just worry a bit that I won't *get* it, that I won't be [reaction spoiler] at the end if [spoiler I heard was factually accurate]. Yanno?

Part of me thinks that I should maybe watch the others before Saturday. Which. Maybe.

ps. please don't put actual spoilers in the comments.

I think you should at least rifftrax or get a recap of the first and then watch the second and third. I didn't particularly enjoy the first film but I LOVED the second and the third (which okay is weird for me to say especially because I REALLY don't like Christan Bale's acting all that much), despite not being huge on Batman (never have been it's all been Spiderman or some other superhero I like).

If you're going to watch you may need subtitles on in the first and second films because some lines are a tad difficult to understand.

Is it possible for you to watch the first two movies before seeing TDKR? Because you will probably miss a lot. One of the friends I went to see it with only saw the second one and he was confused on a lot and I had to explain to him. I mean, you might still enjoy the acting and cinematography and how awesome Anne Hathaway is, but the story aspect might be a bit lost on you.

Since I haven't seen the other two movies recently I'm gonna rewatch them before I go see TDKR this Saturday. I think it's wise to watch both because that way you get all the back story and you don't sit there wondering why it just flew over your head. :p

If I can find the rifftrax of them, I will definitely watch because. They are the best.

I've been okay so far with understanding the lines. Though, tbh, sometimes I'm not paying all that much attention. Like right now. :)

Good to know, thank you. :)

I'm almost done watching The Dark Knight and I'm glad people suggested that it be done.

The latest is the only one I've watched since getting into the comics. The first two I didn't like that much. The third one I loved. I think there's some correlation to me not knowing what the hell was going on in the first two, to appreciating the third movie. Because Nolan doesn't just use the characters that everyone knows by name like the Joker, he uses some of the ones that mostly casual fans are not going to know, like Ra's al Ghul. There was also one scene that was straight out of comics pages.
I did suffer a little from not remembering what the hell happened in the other two, but I think there was really only one point where that was significant.
Anyway, yeah. It's possible that you won't get it.
This...this is not a helpful encouraging post, is it? lol.

Hmm, maybe if I were a fan of the comic books, I would have enjoyed / gotten the movie more.

I had just watched the first two before seeing this one and honestly, I don't know that they were needed all that much. Unless it was a bunch of little things or a giant thing that I missed.
