Supernatural: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid
Supernatural makes me miss Buffy something fierce.
I spent a good portion of the time just looking at their faces (well, duh) but while looking I was thinking, 'Hmm, I wonder what would make for good icons.' and then I realized that they pretty much have the same faaaaaaaces (expressions) in like every ep. That's when I started thinking, 'Dammit, if they're going to do close ups do something different with your frickin' face. Ugh.'
I kind of enjoyed Bobby's wife. And Digger too.
I don't really understand this ep. Death raised a bunch of zombies including Bobby's wife. Death told Karen (that was her name, yeah?) 'Hey, I've got a message for Bobby.' And her being dead and not really technically savy didn't think to say, 'Why don't you just text him?' ... So blah blah blah he told her, 'Uhm, look. I have to kill Bobby because uh, he's the reason Sammy won't say yes to Lucifer. Wah wah wah.' She apparently just smiled and nodded at him and backed away slowly cos, 'WTF?'
Yadda yadda she goes back to Bobby and is being all wifeyish and the other zombies go back to their families and just hang out cos, that's normal. But uh oh, they start hungerin' for HUMAN FLESH. NOMNOMNOM.
But the taste of their own families ain't satisfying so they gather together and go hunt down Bobby because obviously his flesh is the tastiest or something.
WHAT?
Karen was able to tell Bobby what Death had said to her before she choked on a bullet but what if she hadn't? Would something else/someone else have to come along and be all, 'Death has a message for you. Blah blah yadda yada.'
And why just mention Sam and his dealings or lack of same with Lucifer? Is Bobby not one of the reasons Dean's saying no? And honestly, I think Dean is more of a reason that Sam's saying no. And Dean probably tastes like greasy pie filling. Which could be tasty. Maybe. Okay, probably not but still.
Why didn't Death just knock on Bobby's door and tell him himself? 'Look, we got this plan going and your vibe is really messing with our mojo so could you like, please back off, man?'
I like the idea of zombies, don't get me wrong. I just don't get the why of the ep.
In other news I really need to see Bobby kick the foot rest thingy of the wheelchair down and stand up ala Spike. And when he stands the camera zooms in on his face and he's got this evil, 'yeah, I'd like to see you try and fuck with me' glint in his eyes. And we all go, '*gasp* Why is Bobby giving us evils?' But then we find out that he's still Bobby and good and is just tired of this shit. Cos, seriously. This is one lame assed slow assed apocalypse.

SO much yes.
I didn't understand any of it, either. Also, I'm RIGHT THERE WITH YOU on the icon thing. Jared's face is impossible to freaking icon anymore, and Jensen always looks the same. Meh.

I wonder if Show realizes how little sense it makes?
Seriously. They're faces are getting annoying. Still pretty just annoying.

Yeah, that pretty much just sums it up perfectly there. It's like, we're supposed to know that it's OMG THE APOCALYPSE GUISE!! And they keep saying how it's supposed to be BIG and SCARY and AWFUL, but every time we actually get episodes about it...it just feels so BORING and lackluster and not worth the hype. 5.02 was pretty kickass, but since then it's just been a lot of TALK about how BAD the apocalypse is and how Sam and Dean must say yes to Lucifer and Michael to stop it, but...what all is there to stop right now?? It feels like sooooo much talk and hand-wringing over nothing. There is nothing epic about this apocalypse, and I'm bored with it now.

I also noticed they make a lot of the same expressions. Particularly Sam.
Lots of things make me miss Buffy something fierce. :/

Yeah? I think I noticed that Sam and Dean were pretty equal on the same face makingness.
Okay, true. Like, life in general but for me it's mostly Supernatural.

I'm afraid I'm getting over this show. And I think season six is a horrible idea. :(

But if you ignore the stupidity it was a good episode. :P

And yep, worst apocalypse ever. I just want it over already.

And yeah, the entire beginning of the episode had me missing Buffy too!! It must have been the grave, with the dead dude rising... I totally expected a slayer to be having a picnic nearby. *le sigh*

I admit, I've hit the point with this Apocalypse where I just want to say "skip to the end!"
I liked Bobby's wife, too, but I don't think I was paying enough attention to the episode. During her conversation with Dean I was like "Wait...is this another parallel? Is she using the 'true love' metaphor for Sam and Dean and this is one of those moments when they're supposed to learn a lesson?" I mean, maybe we're supposed to infer that Dean's supposed to be Sam's center of Zen or whatever to stave off Lucifer or...I don't even know. I think I need to watch it again.

I KNOW!I just don't get it-why raise a bunch of zombies? Why not just come over and kill Bobby?Oh,and since when Bobby is a reason for Sam saying "no"?

Ooh, I like that thinking with Bobby's wifes words. Mostly, during that scene I was looking at all the pies and thinking, 'That's a lot of pies, surely they're not all going to keep.'

There was that, but this time I just meant in general the show makes me miss Buffy or at least the Buffy writers. :p

I wonder if it'll be over this season or if they'll carry it over into next season.
