Grandparents || F13

My grandparents are in their mid 80's. I found out today that on the inside they're secretly 16 year old girls.

They bought Twilight.
They watched Twilight.
They apparently enjoyed Twilight.

My mind might be a bit blown. Obviously, I took the dvd from them because I am curious about the movie. And I did read the book but don't remember much about it.

* * *

Aunt, her fiancee and I pay-per-viewed F13 tonight.

Ugh. I really would like to LIKE this movie but I just don't. I think I'd be a little bit more okay with it if it wasn't for Panabaker's fucking dumbass face. I want to stab things when I see it and in that movie it's in a lot. Which is annoying and difficult because a lot of the time it was near Jared's beautiful hot like burning face.

Okay, obviously Clay is an attractive person and he seemed like a nice guy who was just out looking for his sister. But if you were in the middle of the woods and your cell didn't work would you really volunteer to help a stranger like that? Honestly? Really? C'mon! Would she have gotten in the van if Clay had candy? What if instead of looking for his sister he was looking for his puppy would she have gone then? Is she extremely stupid? The answer to that question is yes.

When Clay and Jenna stop because he needs to change the batteries in his flashlight, they hear someone and they have to HIDE. RIGHT NOW. Uhm. Why? I don't get it. Why wouldn't they assume it was someone from the cabin? Or a cop coming to say, 'You're not supposed to be on this here property, git goin' now, ya hear?' And they could say, 'Sorry. Didn't see any signs.' And then leave? I do not understand why they had to HIDE. NOW.

Not related to the movie but based on a screencap [livejournal.com profile] keepaofthecheez posted the other day and also from looking at his hands in the movie it appears that Jared uses his thumbnail as his coke nail. I thought the pinky nail was the common nail used. :p

Why do I dislike Panabaker's face SO MUCH.

Why can't I like this movie? (hint: see above)

I haven't seen any of those movies in a long long time but yeah, starting on Romeo and Juliet would be good. It's got a good soundtrack if I remember correctly.

It'll be awhile before I can get started on that but I will let you know how it goes. I just. :sighs: There's so many things about the movie that piss me off. For example, how is Jason so stealthy and ninja like in some cases? And the leg trap at the beginning ... how'd he know to place it JUST THERE in that perfect spot so that that guy would get trapped there? And when he threw the axe? Really? His aim is THAT good? Does he practice for a few hours every day?

I do like that movie ever so much even if whenever I see Paul Rudd as Paris my head kind of morphs him into the character he played in Clueless.

Y'know, you're right, but to be fair he did sort of 'run/walk fast' in the originals, but all of that other stuff makes no sense. Then again, if he was what 5? 6? When that started he's had time to kind of perfect things but yeah not even then *sigh*

Oh, good point about him practicing since he was young. You'd think that maybe some agency would come along and recruit him to be a sniper or something.

Now that? Would probably incite more fear. I mean sniping gun and a bandage over your head (with see through eye holes)? Maybe he'd have more luck if he'd just sniped them all with a gun.

But...maybe not.
