I want a cat. *sadface*

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'll give you the one that lives here. She's old, cranky and sometimes mean. But sometimes she'll sit on your lap and let you pet her.

*grabby hands*

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
*hands her over*

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
My real cats don't, but my imaginary cat does. :)

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe your imaginary cat will teach your real cats.

[identity profile] rustydog.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
As long as it doesn't go both ways and my real cat teaches my imaginary cat how to knock over plants. *g*

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
That would be kind of bad.

Um.. one of my dogs chases his tail? But he chews it to the point of bleeding, so I always make him stop, and I spray the end with no-chew spray... /o\ (because cleaning blood off walls is a total bitch)

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Ouch. Do you know why he chews it until it gets so bad?

[identity profile] malevolent73.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
A couple of my cats do, and a few of them don't. It's a wonder.

[identity profile] evenindeath.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
My fish used to to chase it's tail... when you know... it was still living.

[identity profile] katysam.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
If Winnie's tail was 6 metres up a tree I'm sure she would chase it. :)

[identity profile] quarterwhore.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I always thought that was more of a dog thing- my doggie does that. I don't know if cats do! I suppose it's the same principle though hey, what's that thing sticking out of my butt?

Only one of my cats chases his tale, but I think it's his favorite body part and he is kinda obsessed with it,lol.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
The one that does it here recently just started doing it and she's old. There's talk that she's senile. :p

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahhaa

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I didn't think it was that common for cats to do either.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahaah

Aww. What kind of fish was it?

And in unrelated news - Congratulations on the LIM win.

I have no idea :(

I don't have a cat at the moment (getting one in April), but I have had cats all my life. Not only did they chase their tail, my grown up cats would be stretched out on the floor, their tail between their legs. Then they would spot that the tip of the tail was moving - just the tip. And they would watch it and watch it and watch it and then POUNCE. On their own tail. VERY very funny.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Heee.

[identity profile] jeyhawk.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Skorpie never chases his tail, but it's very handy as a handle when he wants to show me things (ie the sad lack of tasty mushy food in his bowl, the sad lack of running water in the bathroom sink, or the sad lack of open doors to the outside world). He also lends it out as a scarf at night, or use it to tickle my ears. *g*

[identity profile] evenindeath.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a Siamese fighting fish, though if I were a fish I'd probably get that bored I'd be chasing my tail too.

Thank you so much, I actually thought I was getting my arse handed to me for most of the contest XD

[identity profile] depply-in-luv.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
My cat Stewie does, and I find it really weird because he's almost six and he just started doing it a few months ago. I think it's because he's been stuck inside all Winter and is going a little crazy. :P

[identity profile] malevolent73.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It is my eldest one that does it the most too! Maybe there is some sort of old cat decree that they must lose their minds at a certain point.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Will he be going back outside eventually? Maybe if/when he does he'll start chasing/fetching sticks.

[identity profile] depply-in-luv.livejournal.com 2009-03-10 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, once the snow melts and it gets a bit warmer he'll be out everyday. And it's more like catching mice, birds, and the occasional snake that he likes to bring in the house...ugh, that cat. :P

[identity profile] bubbles83.livejournal.com 2009-03-11 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Bela does. Well, she might actually be chasing the shadow of her tail, but I still think it counts.

[identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com 2009-03-11 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Totally counts
